Cranes flying

photo

 Autumn around the world
A flock of Common Cranes fly towards their night roost near the village of Linum on Oct. 19. The area north of Berlin has become the biggest staging point for migrating cranes in central Europe where up to 80,000 cranes roost for several weeks on their way from their breeding grounds in Scandinavia, Eastern Europe or Russia to their wintering grounds in Western Spain.
